Yesterday our office was filled with a pleasant sweet scent of bunches of Aeridachnis Bogor ‘Apple Blossoms’. (Species) We house a varieties of colours for this vanda in low quantities. From light green, to yellow to brown. This vanda has a thick jasmine fragrance that can get very strong in hot afternoons. Its flowers last for longer periods if placed indoors than outdoors as its fragrance frequently attract pollinating insects/pest.
(Unknown) This hybrid has a gentle fragrant that is dominant in the early morning.
(Aranda Lucy Laycock x Vanda tesellata) This hybrid was registered by Yeoh Bok Choon on 1st January, 1966. Aranda Peng-Lee Yeoh has a distinct vanilla fragrant that children frequently recognize this flower to be ‘chocolate orchid’.
(Arachnis hookeriana x Vanda suavis) This hybrid was registered by the Singapore Botanical Gardens on the first of January, 1946. This hybrid is the original hybrid that has a slight fragrance.
